entering motherhood last july was a wild ride. i clung to this advice passed on to me when z was a newborn, and i was feeling beyond wrecked..the exhaustion was heavy, and everything in my life had flipped upside down in one week’s time;

the advice was:
to every day take a shower, change out of jammies, and put on some lippy, it would help bring a feeling of normalcy, and bit by bit i would start to feel a little more normal.

undoubtedly it has been so accurate, whenever time permits and i take a few moments to pop on some makeup, and a cute outfit, i always feel so much better.

whether a mama or not, if you’re not feeling like yourself lately, too; you’re not alone, sometimes these seasons happen in life.. taking a little time to establish routines and rhythms and care for yourself could go a long way, too. 🤎

i hope you find little things to add into your mornings to set the stage for a beautiful day, and you can romanticize the beautiful moments in your life, too.

life has gotten a whole lot simpler the past few months, but the change of pace has brought perspective changes. becoming a mother has stretched me, strengthened me, and taught me so much just in the past few months.

love: increased
fulfillment: increased
efficiency: increased
faith and trust in God: increased
friendships: increased
overthinking: decreased
self criticism: decreased
appreciation for MY mom: massively increased 🙃

motherhood..challenging, but absolutely worth every sacrifice.
